Concrete Densifier and Hardener Application Services in Omaha & Lincoln

At Nebraska Power Sweeping, we provide expert application of concrete densifiers to help extend the life, strength, and durability of your concrete surfaces. Whether it's for industrial floors, commercial spaces, or garages, densifiers are an essential part of long-term concrete maintenance.

Nebraska Power Sweeping applies commercial-grade densifiers to strengthen and dust-proof your concrete floors from the inside out. Our lithium and sodium silicate solutions chemically react with the calcium hydroxide in your slab, filling pores and increasing density. The result? A longer-lasting, harder surface that’s ready for heavy traffic, polishing, or sealing — ideal for warehouses, garages, basements, and commercial slabs across Nebraska.

We work with the most trusted densifier brands in the industry, including:

-Ashford Formula – One of the most widely recognized densifiers, known for its permanent, high-performance results on both new and existing concrete.

-RetroPlate – A premium densifier often paired with polished concrete to enhance appearance and strength.

-L&M FGS Permashine – A lithium-silicate densifier popular for polished concrete applications.

-Prosoco Consolideck® LS – A versatile lithium-silicate formula ideal for hardening and dust-proofing concrete floors.

Our team ensures proper surface preparation and application for maximum performance and longevity.

The Power of Concrete Densifiers and Hardeners

Why Use a Densifier?

  • Increases surface hardness and durability
  • Reduces dusting and wear
  • Improves resistance to stains and abrasion
  • Ideal for warehouses, retail, and industrial environments

Densifier application usually ranges in cost per square foot but far less than replacing concrete or reapplying temporary products.  That’s a small investment for a floor that can last decades with minimal dust and wear.

Where Concrete Densifiers Work Best:

Concrete densifiers are ideal for high-traffic and heavy-use environments where strength and longevity matter most. Common applications include:

  • Warehouses and distribution centers
  • Manufacturing plants
  • Retail stores and showrooms
  • Garages and workshops
  • Food processing and cold storage facilities

Whether you're polishing new concrete or restoring existing slabs, densifiers provide lasting performance and a clean, finished look.

Not sure if you need a densifier or a sealer? Densifiers harden the slab and stop dusting — perfect for warehouses. Sealers protect against chemicals, oil, and outdoor weather. Many projects benefit from both.  Learn more on our Sealing page.

FAQ

How soon can we use the floor after densifier is applied?
It depends on the product used, temperature, and air flow. In most cases, light foot traffic is allowed after several hours, and heavier traffic such as forklifts within 24 hours. We’ll confirm the timeline for your specific project during scheduling.

Will the densifier change the color of my concrete?
Densifiers typically do not change the color of concrete. They react below the surface and maintain the slab’s natural appearance. In polished applications, a light sheen or gloss may appear after burnishing — but no dyes or tints are added unless requested.

Is there a smell or odor when applying densifier?
Most lithium and sodium silicate densifiers are low odor and VOC-compliant. That said, ventilation is always important. We can advise you on what to expect based on your building type and the product we’re using.

Can a densifier be applied over existing sealer or coating?
Usually not. For a densifier to react properly, it needs to penetrate the surface. If your slab already has a coating or sealer on it, we may need to grind or remove it first. We’ll assess your floor and recommend the best prep approach.

How long does a densifier last?
When applied properly, densifiers are permanent. The chemical reaction becomes part of the concrete itself. However, the appearance and surface condition still depend on regular cleaning and traffic wear. In some cases, periodic polishing or touch-ups can help maintain shine and performance.

Does the concrete still need to be sealed after densifying?
That depends on the location and usage. For indoor spaces like warehouses and showrooms, densifying alone is often enough. For exterior concrete or areas exposed to oils or chemicals, a sealer may be recommended in addition to densifying. We’ll help you decide based on the conditions.
